Excellent way to start learning front-end development
Probably not for you if you're seasoned developer, but for me this was the best set of books I've seen on the subject. Javascript books I've seen before tend to omit the very basic founding concepts jumping straight to practical applications. While it's good to get to apply knowledge straight away, it is sometimes not clear why the things have to be the way they are. This book, in my opinion, makes it crystal clear. Both books seem to me a bit over-illustrated, but that's not really a problem and may actually help those who think more visually.
I find it hard to suggest a better place to start one's front-end web development career, especially from a design background.

Same make and model as my Renault OEM
Exact make and model of the battery that was on my car from new, lasted over 10 years and still had some life in it. Halfords wanted £200 for a replacement.
