Reliable
A really reliable HBA card for a great price. It comes with the newest IT mode firmware already flashed. If you are looking to add sata ports to a pc with an available PCIe slot you cannot beat this card at this price.
One thing to keep in mind with this card in windows is that drives connected to this card will not spin down with the manufacturer provided driver even if you set the setting in windows to power down hard drives after a certain time. The default being 20 minutes. But there is a very simple fix available. It's just adding a single line to the driver file in a text editor. Just search for "Enable Disk SpinDown on LSI 9211/IBM M1015" and you should find a blog post detailing the fix.
