It was nice to hear Buddy Holly & The Crickets songs in a different way.
The ballads sounded as good as the originals, sometimes better. The rock hits were not as good as the originals. For example they turned down the volume on Buddy Holly's scream on OH BOY.
The didn't improve TRUE LOVE WAYS but it was still beautiful. How could someone improve
TRUE LOVE WAYS? It was a perfect song to start with. In the United States TRUE LOVE WAYS
was release twice as a single. I don't believe it ever made Billboards's Top l00. Can you believe
that?

I was very pleased with the CD.
Eddie Cochran was perhaps the most underated rock & roll star.
He should have been almost as big as Elvis. He was excellent performer.
His weak spot was he needed better material. His best songs were really
good, like Twenty Flight Rock, Something Else, Am I Blue, Cradle Baby.
Weekend, Somertime Blues, Sittin In The Balcony, Lonely, Come On Everybody,
Hall....... I Love Her So, and Drive In Show.
On this CD I especially liked the two versions of Twenty Flight Rock (a Rock & Roll
Classic even though it never made Billboard's Top 100. Same can be said of
Buddy Holly's True Love Ways which was released twice and never made the Top 100.

Except for Shane, there's never been a better movie.
A great movie. Second only to Shane.
