Wish it worked properly
Who would have thought that the idle on my 3.5hP Tohatsu outboard is 7000 RPM? That's what this tach tells me. I set the mode to 1 fire/rev per the hard-to-read instructions and this was the result. Never seemed to change regardless of the setting which leads me to believe that the impulses from the ignition system are scrambling detection circuitry.
Gave the more-or-less correct readings on my 4-stroke lawnmower but the RPM hinted around by more that 500rpm on either side of the correct value.
I suppose the hourmeter mode works but RPM is a fail.

Very easy replacement
The headlight assembly is designed for very easy removal and replacement. 3 bolts and one connector, wiggle the old one out and guide the replacement in. Great design!
