Frida: Naturaleza Viva (in Spanish)
2 of 2 found this helpful I saw this movie then visited her home, now a museum in Mexico City. I was not disappointed! This movies shows a genius of a woman, strong in mind, unfortunately weak in body.
Was such a wonderful way to help me learn Spanish!

The Houe of the Spirits
2 of 2 found this helpful The Houe of the Spirits based on the book by Isabel Allende is set in Chile pre and during their revolutionary period of the 1970's (Pinochet.) As always, Allende blends history, culture and magic with genius. And, in this story she knows it so well as she is from an important Chilean political family. Casting is superb with Jeremy Irons, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Winona Ryder. I can't stress how beautifully the film makers captured the essence of Chile and of how superb Allende intrigues us with her magical and smart story telling.
