With the Old Breed by E.B. Sledge
This book tells what two battles in the Pacific were like in WW11. The most unvarnished war chronicle I have ever read. Sledge and his 3/5 Marines vanquished a tough foe. Some of his partners, particularly his Captain Ack Ack Haldane, are unforgettable. Great book.

The Education of Children by Alfred Adler
Compassionate, loving book about what children need and how to give it to them. Anyone with young children would do themselves a great favor by reading this book.
