Great holiday camera
Presently have the brilliant Panasonic Lumix DMC G7 with several lenses and accessories that proves heavy when travelling so decided to go with a single lens bridge camera with a viewfinder. As I have been impressed with Panasonic cameras and looking at various reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-300 was the obvious choice.
The Lieca 24 to 600 lens is pretty fast and quiet in use but auto focus at the top end can struggle a little in certain light conditions but this is easily overcome by zooming out in stages to allow the auto focus to focus on the subject matter.
The FZ-300 has a nice weight, is well made and feels robust in use and is perfect for my needs. It has greatly reduced the amount of kit I now take when travelling
The FZ-300 is a great camera for travelling, is easy to use with plenty of features for the beginner or enthusiast to use.

Lightweight, compact and balanced
Great compact design with a balanced performance for its size and weight. Versatile as can be used as a slave unit.
Easy to use with clear controls
Previously owned 350 four thirds which was great so had no hesitation in purchasing the Nikon version as suits my needs perfectly.
