Polychromos or prismacolor..its like asking which is best a Ford or a Rolls Royce..both are cars..get you where you wish to go..But..how do you wish to travel. Economy or luxury..simple. everyone says you get 30 more pencils in large prisma set of 150. Than poly set of 120. That's only because there are 30 colors that are so close in color u cant tell much difference and you will break lead and wood so often with prisms you NEED 30 MORE! PLUS PRISMA ARE WAX POLY ARE OIL BASED ALL PENCIL HAVE SOME WAX ..THE MUST TO STAY TOGETHER .BUT WHEN ALL QAX. AND VERY SOFT. EXPECT PROBLEMS THEY HAVE..YOU CAN USE THEM TOGETHER IF YOU LIKE AND COLOR BIGGER AREA WITH SOFT ORISMAS. RESEVE POLYS FOR SMALL DETAIL WORK. SINCE THEY ARE MORE EXPENSIVE..BUT JUST REMEMBER. IN PENCILS AS IN EVERYTHING ELSE..YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Bad pencils
Didnt expect much..got what I expected! Cute package. Got it fir collector of sugar skill stuff. Not going to use pencils so didnt care..if bought for gag gift or the like ..fone. but pencils hard .cheap light pigment..nothing good about the beside the cute printing of skulls on each pencil.

Neat set of prismacolors
While these colors are included in the 150 set (dont know about lesser sets) It if great to have them grouped in set so you dont spend your life looking thru whole set to find them. Beside..u will now have 2 of each color to get ahead of the breakage you'll likely have and wont have to chase down ea.color separately at larger cost. Buy the 24 set of skin tones as well. I'm sure there are probably more in this than provided in 150..could be wrong. But colors so subtle you'll send half your time looking for 24 skin colors in ser an no time coloring. Plus likely get greenish tones in error .just my opinion made my life simplier!! Enjoy
