Generic seal is ok
The generic part was thicker than the standard part replacement. so at times it was not flexible enough for the curves and sloping edges in my in ground pool. The creepy would lose suction and fall to the bottom of the pool most of the time. Also it was folded in half in package and it did not flatten out. I would not buy another one although the total cost was less than official Pentair part.
