Canon U.S.A. EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
I find this lense to fit my everyday needs.
While it is heavier than I would like it to be, it does the job.
The IS part of the lense functions quite well, While my tests were not high tech they made a believer out of me. I find my self just leaving the IS on at all times.
I would give up some 17mm for more telephoto capability.

Item runs hot to the touch. They offered me a 5% credit.
Item runs hot when using for the second time. They claim it is out of warranty but the box papers said one year. All I ask is to make me whole or replace it.
5% credit on a defective item that cost $33 ?
