Quilter Frontliner 2 by 8
1 of 1 found this helpful I am trying this cabinet because I'm very impressed with there block series amps. I have the now discontinued 200 block series which I got for a solid state back up option to a THD Bi valve amplifier which I really like but the sound from the Quilter is so good I mainly use it now. I was using a 12" Celestion G12T-75in a small cab which I also liked, but when I saw the Frontliner and it's features I bought one. You can read about the features on their website but after a week of using it I am very impressed with the tone and presicion I can get from it and with 2 8" speakers acoustic guitars play well through it. I've only run it at 100 watts max so far which was huge and still accurate so I have yet to run it at the full 200 watt capability during break in and I probably would rarely need that level of volume. As the speakers have broken in the sound has warmed or loosened up some and with the dispersal of the sound you forget the speakers are 8" although I did position the set up so it's more centered because if you are mainly in front of one speaker or the other you are more aware of the difference between 8" and 12" speakers which I suppose is part of the design concept. The sound reproduction including using effects I would say is top notch and that combined with a weight of 30 lbs. and a small package when loading equipment it's an excellent combo and definitely not a toy. I've read that some say they are too expensive and if you can't afford then they are but the Quilter people are trying to make a living as well and the quality is there!

Rushed reading
I probably wouldn't recommend this DVD because the man reads to fast for me, it's not that it's to fast to hear the words but it just feels rushed, that's my personal impression.
