workout with jackie warner
4 of 4 found this helpful i'm one of those who can't make herself go to the gym. so i buy alot of home workout tapes. billy blanks taebo, which works but not good for female hips. i tried the female version on taebo...turbo jam. pitiful. so there i was, dressed for the gym, watching reality tv. work out w/ jackie warner was on. it was an interesting show about people, too unmotivated to work out on their own. she created a full workout, one on one, boot camp style experience. somewhere along the way she created a workout dvd, along with her staff of trainers. because they made the dvd in conjunction with the reality show, i was able to see how hard she and her trainers had to work, physically, to pull this off. i wanted this dvd.

so here i am. after 2 days with this dvd i am very excited to see the change in my body and attitude. my goal is to loose 10 pounds in 2 weeks. that may seem unrealistic to do naturally, but i honestly believe that with this dvd i can do it.
the video is separated into 3 sections, upper body, lower body , and core/abs. 20 min each you can set the dvd to do only one section or two or three. i haven't built up the stamina for all 3 yet, but i'll get there.
basically, i'm very happy with this simple one on one style dvd. she has you doing things that look like the stuff in did in grammer school gym class, but with a "fat girl" twist. my son works out with me. he's tall, muscles skin and bone. even he has difficulty with some of these. she does have the modified, regular and advanced version of each exercise. she doesn't move so fast that you can't keep up. for example, she doesn't do the "4 more, 3 more, 2 more, now take it to the left..." stuff that we've come come to know and poke fun at. each exercise is 1 minute long, with 30 seconds of cardio in between.
ok enough of my rambling. seriously, give it a try. with shipping it's all of what, $15? cheaper than the dirve to the gym, or better yet, cheaper than the gym membership that you won't use.
have fun; that is is your body isn't too angry with you after the first day.

only tried the bare basics, but i luv it just the same
3 of 4 found this helpful what i love most is that i can just usb plug my camera and video camera directly into the printer and the printer shows what's on the camera. from the printer's view screen, i can decide what to print. i don't need to be computer savvy (cuz' i'm not). 2ndly, it's ink cartrigages are really cheap. 3rdly, it prints on both sides of the paper like in an office store. 4thly, it faxes. lastly, it was cheap compared to other 4 in 1 printers. eventhough it's kodak; a name i know. a name i trust...i suppose. any case i bought and i'm glad i did! buy one. you'll be happy. oh! it's way easy to set up!

elton john- thom bell seeions
it's funny, because i loooovvvve elton john. like thom bell's stuff alot, but the 2 together... not so much. elton has always had the r&b thing so mixing the 2 should have worked. thom does the classic run on and repeat r&b that i have, out grouwn. elton has the r&b sound and piano that works for a white man. so having this white man sing the same style as the black r&b, just does not work. it sounds like toward the end of the really long songs, where as thom would adlib, elton just doesn't know how and all he does is repeat himself. the songs don't have the in-depth story line that we've come to appreciate from elton. the songs are, in my opinion the shallow love songs that black r&b usually has.
if you grew up on the spinners, like i did. go for it. it definitely has that nostalgic sound. it also will give you a chance to hear elton's obvious love for style of music.
it's not my taste, but i'm glad i bought it. as a huge elton fan, it's neat to watch/hear him mature over the years. it's something to add to my collection. go ahead, elton fan, add it to yours, too.
