Close to high end sound for small investment.
3 of 3 found this helpful I have two of these now and they are definitely a steal at 500 or less.
Very nice sound and plenty of power - seem reliable too. My first has been in service for nearly ten years. Hope the new acquisition serves me as well.

Great surround units!
Have been using these for years, now, They excel for surround channels for Dolby Surround systems - currently using three in a 5.1 system and four in a 7.2.2 system. Excellent imaging and good coverage from 80 hz, which is good. They also match up well with higher line Monitor Audio products, such as the Silver and Gold lines.
They give up too much to the Silver RX-1s in direct comparison to use as front L and R, imo, but are excellent for surround/effects.
A bargain at 100 bucks or so on the used market.
