Jacobs Refurbed 6B Chuck
This is a super product for the money. One thing to be aware of, these were rebuilt over 30 years, so the grease is stiff. If you are comfortable taking it apart, cleaning & lubricating it great. If you're like me and not, I took a spray penetrant, in my case CRC Tool Guard and sprayed in all the seams and worked it in. I also opened the chuck up totally open and sprayed the inside of the jaws. In a matter of a few minutes it was working freely. I them soaked it with the jaws opened in a jar of chain saw bar oil for a few hours. It operates as smooth as butter now. I used Husqvarna bar oil if it matters. This chuck out of the box looked brand new. Not one sign of corrosion. Thank you!
