Great all purpose reverb unit
The Alesis Microverb units have been around a long time, and some of the best sounding effects units ever made. Good for studio and stage use, in PA applications as well as guitar or other instrument uses. It's a stereo/mono input device......so your output can be discreet L and R channel, or dual mono out. It excels as a pre gain stage effect in guitar or bass amps, as the input/output levels are fully adjustable. This is exactly what you need as well if you are using this unit in an FX loop....full control if input and output levels. This is a very quiet and transparent unit, though proper grounding is important when used with other equipment. The optional foot control lets you bypass or control certain effects, mainly the rotary speaker function ( slow chorus and fast "trem" mode....and this unit ramps between these two modes very much like the wood rotor Leslie of the '50's and '60's.....before the crappy styrofoam ones that came into use in the late '70's ). Very good in every respect...a quality product.

Celestron 70mm ....Best beginner Scope
This is the third 'scope in this series I have purchased, and the best overall where ease of use and true "grab and go" capabilities are concerned. The EQ mount is adequate.....get a used surveyors tripod to mount it to though...the flimsy light gauge aluminum tripod supplied is worthless. And be sure to adjust the bearings and worm gears, which very often require some disassembly. Remove the factory "gluebrication", and re-lubricate everything with auto wheel bearing grease. Tighten everything! The Synta group objective lens is really well made....but do not expect sharp contrasty views through the supplied correct view diagonal. This f/10 will work just fine with even a budget mirror or prism...with far less light loss and much better resolution. Use the supplied diagonal for terrestrial use on good sunny days....not dark starry nights. Throw out the Barlow...yuck...and upgrade the eyepieces as well ( though the 20mm Plossl isn't bad at all....one of the better eyepieces Celestron ships with these small scopes). Needs work to be a good scope, but a very good starting foundation for the beginner who has the will to learn. Clear Skies!

A great unit for the price.
A good quality build for most devices using a 5/8" 11 female mount......my old Lietz transit is a 10 pounder....this is the max I would expect this tripod to handle.....It handles it well....very steady. I don't like the fact that you can't tighten the leg straddle tension as tight due to the plastic posts the leg hinges use, and I actually stripped one bolt trying to do so. Just watch your fingers when you pick the unit up suddenly......otherwise, a very nice value.
