Lenoxx R26 AM/FM Black Radio with Earphone jack Plug/ AC/DC & Battery powered

Not a great product

The tuning dial is really imprecise, lots of backlash so it's hard to tune into a station. If you go past it, you have to wind back farther to get back to the station. I live in a rural area and the signal in the area is weak however, a small Sony transistor radio that I have has no trouble picking up the main stations in the region. I purchased this radio because it has AC so I'm not always going through batteries like I do with the little Sony. Unfortunately, I think the A/C power supply is some sort of a mode switching or PWM supply and so it creates a LOT of interference to the signal. The AM receiver is really poor and I can't even pick up the ABC regional radio signal. FM reception is better but with lots of static. When you can pick up reception, the sound quality is fine for a single speaker device. My little 20 year old Sony transistor radio leaves this one for dead.
