I haven't found anything that touches it for the price!
1 of 1 found this helpful This unit in a word is awesome. I have owned at one time or another many many MFX units an this is one of the best. I have a GNX4, an Eleven Rack, TC electronics G System, Boss GT 10. and this little guy tone wise does an awesome job. I think many people think all of these units are plug and play. Sure you can find a couple of decent tones in any of them but most of them are extreme examples and will need to be dialed in. The Zoom is more than capable of some truly outstanding tones. I have for years switched over to power amps instead of guitar amps when using modelers such as this. That single switch was the best move I made when using these modelers. The tones are amazing running thru my Atomic Reactor Cab.. I love this unit because it's so small and portable, it will actually fit in the front pocket of my gig bag. it doesn't have all the stomp buttons of the bigger rigs but with a little thought anything I need is just two stomps away. there is a decent community support and a couple of killer apps that make it easy to edit and adjust setting globally. IT's no eleven rack or AXE FX but those units cost 10 to 30 times more, and the zoom gets close to them... real real close. Somebody that knows what there doing can use one of these and blow away a plug and play user of the high end boxes. I think of it like this. you can give the same paints and brushes to a group of artists and some rise to the top even though they had the same tools as everyone else. This unit sounds good if you just open the box and plug in but can sound fantastic with a little tweaking. To many people buy any of these units thing it's the end all to their tone search. At the end of the day no matter where you go there you are. It has everything you need for clean crunch and distortion. Man what a bang for the buck!
