A great buy to remember the BEST of the old & try some "new" Japanese games
A blast from the past, but with a new feel given all the Japanese games I never played. Took this and a bundle of "new" EBay-bought games to a Legends of Galactic Heroes party and left load of people happy. Only notes of consequence: (1) It's old hardware, you may need to insert the cartridge one or two times to clean the contacts before the game works (but NEVER insert/remove with power on though). (2) On new LCD/LED TVs, set the console to channel 1 or 2 and the TV to (cable) channel 95 or 96. If that doesn't work, you may need a NES RF modulator (the grey box hooked to TV via coax) for the US market (according to blogs). Mine worked fine out of the box on a brand new 2013 LED TV. (3) Some TV's carry a "hum" on games thanks to the modulator. Mine moderated when I swapped out the modulator (I have two Famicom systems), but didn't go away. Thank you 80's TV technology. :(

Biggest/deepest space battle game ever on Saturn from a great anime. Wow!!
Awesome game from an timelessly AWESOME Anime series! However be prepared for a long gaming session. This is battle management and direction at the nth degree - AMAZINGLY detailed in options and control given it's on 1996 hardware. Also have a (very) good Japanese dictionary handy to understand all the dialog and text labels on controls (and the manual - you'll need to read it for this game). A great game that shows just how complex and deep gaming could be on the Saturn. This really showed the console off well at a Legends of Galactic Heroes party we had this at. It was the crowd favorite! Tip: the start button is used for normal play in this game, not just for beginning it. Enjoy!

Awesome memories + Japanese games = new dejavu love
Super NES, Japanese version - need I say more? Still fun, still functional after all this time. I only hope you get one half as nice as the guy who kept this one. Truly he loved it. (Thank you sir! *salute* ) Took it to a Legends of Galactic Heroes party and everyone had a blast. If you loved SNES before, try the Japanese collection of games out for new found love all over again. Hookups are no worry for new LED/LCD TVs - mine sync'd with it no problem. Just make sure yours still has a composite input. If not, or if you want to use a regular computer monitor, a small Composite- VGA adapter works great.
