Might be somewhat gimmicky

The jet clean system appears to be a good idea although I have my suspicions it is a device designed to sell pricy solution. Three bottles cost $20 and I went through a lot. The system has sensors that indicate "Low Level Fluid". The system repeatedly refused to go into the wash cycle and flashed the low fluid indicator even though the fluid level was full. I think the sensors gum up after the fluid gets a little old or the foamy top layer of the solution in the tank keeps the system from working and wants new fresh solution frequently. I have had three of these units fail and finally gave up and went to a regular stand charger.

Just because it's a medical related device doesn't mean it should cost an arm and a leg

So, it's nice and convenient to not to have to manually clean everything everyday. I just take it at "it's word" it is working and doing what it's supposed to do. I think $300 is way over priced. It's plastic construction feels cheap and may not last for many years. The latch is probably going to be the first thing to fail as it already feels cheaply made and you have to press hard on it to get it to open. $60 a year in additional cost for a filter replacement is just more to the negative. I feel gouged in the wallet.

Awesome

I was absolutely thrilled to find this item. I tried to replace the head on my 1290x shaver a year ago and could only find a cheap crappy RQ11 replacement head available because Phillips Norelco discontinued the RQ12 that my shaver originally came with. I was very disappointed with the inferior quality and felt duped. It was bad enough the Phillips Norelco Jet Clean washer I bought with my shaver was a total piece of garbage and had nothing but problems with it, now they tell me I have to settle with a cheap knock off replacement head for my shaver as well. Not happy after spending around $300. This is an awesome replacement head and I'm very happy to have found it.
