Great value fir a high quality DVD/VHS recorder
1 of 1 found this helpful Easy to operate but after setting a timer recording you must press the timer set button or your program will nor record. Also, you cannot switch from DVD mode to VHS mode without first disengaging the timer set button. I've been recording to DVD in long play mode to fit more than 1 recording on my disc and the quality is superb. Dubbing from VHS to DVD is a piece of cake. You need a separate tuner to record tv shows which isn't a problem as long as you adjust your cable settings to the channel you want to record ahead of time.

Universal remote for Toshiba dvr620 not recommended
This is not the original remote for the Toshiba dvr620. It's a universal remote. The batteries don't stay in place so you constantly have to remove the battery cover to push the batteries back in place so they're touching the contacts. Also, I often have to press a function button more than once to register, very annoying
