Works well but be prepared for surprises
Unless you like soldering and have all the tools, this can be challenging. It helps to have the solder suction tools to remove old solder.
For starters, now I can see how much mold growth was inside the unit. I spent a good amount of time just scrubbing away the mold and rinsing parts. Wasn’t prepared to do this, but since I’m keeping my waterpik, it was good I went through this. I spent about 2 hours between cleaning and soldering, and reassembling. The inside wires were a little short so it’s necessary to be delicate. Also having a soldering heat sink helps prevent some wire insulation from melting from the heat of soldering iron.
The instructions were very clear so that helped.
