A "Must Have" For Your Children Grandchildren.

There's a lot more to Beatrix Potter than 'The Tale Of Peter Rabbit' as you'll find out if you buy this collection. Other themes she explores are really interesting but she sets out to encourage enjoyment rather than teach or preach. Her illustrations are also really well done. I was sixteen or seventeen before anyone introduced me to these stories and I read them (endlessly) to my then girlfriends eight year old sister; fifteen or so years wasted. I bought this set for our one year old grandson. He's not quite into the stories yet, but he does enjoy the pictures. Compelling? Yes if you're at nursery or primary school age, but still interesting if you're the one who's reading to your child grandchild.

Does the job

Does not require programming. Only downside is that it does not open close the drawer. But, then, you have to insert or remove the disk and you can't do that remotely.

Cheap and cheerful.

I've had one before. It lasted about 18 months before the paper boy or girl managed to break it by stuffing the Sunday paper with all its supplements through the letterbox. Basically, it does the job and it's so cheap and easy to replace that I dont mind it's less than perfect. This time, I've bought 3, so that should keep me going for a while.
