This CD arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The problem I have with this CD is that not all of the recordings are the the original hit recording
This CD arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The problem I have with this CD is that not all of the recordings are the the original hit recordings and this is noted as such in fine print on the back notes of the CD. Having grown up hearing these songs, I can tell the difference. The bank's most succesffull hit song, 'Build Me Up Buttercup', is not the original hit recording. As re-recording it is as near perfect as it can be performed decades later.

Johnny Rivers - LA Reggae & Blue Suede
Johnny Rivers was one of my favorite recording artists. His vocals are always first rate as well as his choice of material, always accompanied by great musicians and fine musical arrangements.
LA Reggae has some of his best original songs. Blue Suede is an album consisting of covers of other artists. Some of his versions here outshine the original recordings. Both albums are excellent.
Excited that I have these albums at long last.
