Much stronger battery for my drill.
When this battery arrived I charged it, drained it and charged it again. Since then I have used it off and on for only a few jobs around the house. One of those odd jobs required drilling over a hundred holes in 4x4 blocks. It is still going strong. It is yet to be seen just how long it will last between charges. So far, it is looking pretty good though.

A great radio, but....
This is my second set of this model. I bought this set because I have a few other FRS radios, but none sound as good as these. The range is quite good considering the low power and stubby antenna, as is required under FRS rules. However, I did have two issues with this particular set. One of the lithium batteries didn't look right, it seemed to be swelled. Sure enough, It was a tight fit going into the battery compartment. Once in, I couldn't latch the back onto the case because of the added thickness of the battery pack. The other battery looked okay and fit nicely into the same radio. The other problem (that took a while to discover) was with the vibrator in one of the radios. At first, it didn't work at all. I tried giving the radio a good shake and tried again. No luck. I tried a good tap on the side of the radio while the alert tone was playing. That got it going..... once. This cycle repeats itself with every attempt. I went through every function the radios were capable of and found all other features worked as advertised. Overall, I am pleased with these radios but expected they would arrive 100% operational. I will be seeking help through eBay.

Casio G-Shock Atomic Solar GW530A-1V Wrist Watch
Several years ago I bought a G-Shock watch. It was tougher than nails and extremely accurate. It became my everyday watch. So, when I lost it, my preferred replacement was another G-shock. This watch is not only solar powered, but is synched with the US atomic clock over WWVB in Boulder, a feature that helps me, as a cop, to keep my activity and radio logs accurate. It also keeps track of the state of the tides which I've found pretty handy in planning fishing outings. I also use the stopwatch feature to time my grandsons efforts at their swim meets. All in all, this is proving to be a great watch with good looks and proven reliability. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
