I am totally satisfied with the tripod for my amateur travel photography.
I bought this the mefoto backpacker tripod to use with my Canon 700d & sigma 18-250mm lens. Although the tripod is very light to carry around in it's carry case I have found it to be well quite sturdy and very well made. The carry case is the real bonus as it has a small inside zipped pocket which fits my polarising lens, spare battery & rain poncho. So when I go out to take pics I just grab the camera & carry bag & I'm ready for a day out.
In very windy conditions it struggles for stability a bit, so I don't extend it to full height & I simply put some downward pressure onto the green metal frame if necessary- especially of it is mounted on sloping ground & the frame is on an angle. If the ground is very steep I will adjust the height of one leg to make it nearly vertical & fine tune camera level at the head. This provides a more stable platform.
