Better than expected.
I am not a fan of hand-helds and am sceptical about their practical value. Now I have to change that to 'was sceptical'.
Very practical size, fits easily in a jacket pocket or to your belt with the provided clip.
Feels quite solid in my hand and the buttons are where they should be, even if I'm left handed.
Reception and output volume are more than sufficient, at least in my case.
Very simple to move through the menu and set your selections re squelch, channel watch etc..
Screen is clear and amber back lighting makes things very visible in poor light conditions and even on moonless nights.
Battery life is good, so far. Will have to judge that later on after a few busy sessions.
Very easy to connect to an exterior antenna with the right adaptor.
On con... the manual provided. Mine did not match the model but, a quick google got me the correct version.
All in all I;m quite happy with the Arctic.

Very, very sharp, and chisel edged.
1 of 1 found this helpful I am left handed and I bought this double edged knife hoping it would be of help for carving.
Unfortunately the photo of the knife made me think it was a pointed double edged blade but it ends with a chisel edge with two very sharp corners.
I will have to remove one of the edges in order to work properly and hone the flat edge to a point.
I suggest you wear gloves. The blade is extremely sharp and holds the edge beautifully.

LAPLANDER - Foldable pruning saw 396-LAP + Hunting knife from Bahco, LAP-KNIFE
I have found that the saw does a very good job with both hardwoods and softwoods.
It is extremely sharp and the teeth keep their edge for a very long time.
I have had mine for close to 2 years and have used it both in the garden and on tarp 'camping'/trekking trips on the island and the teeth are as sharp as they were when I received it.
I liked it so much that I bought another one for my son who frequently goes on long tarp 'camping' trips. He says it is the best folding saw he's ever used.
Regarding the knife, I have found it very useful for cleaning fish and small game, preparing food and light bushcraft work. Sharp enough to prepare a decent feather-stick and good enough to baton thumb thick firewood. I have not used it as a heavy duty knife.
I am very happy with the kit and have already suggested it to others.
