Single Season Success!
Surface came from a time when the US TV studios were looking for the next big thing. Buffy, Friends, The X Files, All the Star Treks were gone from our TV screens. Surface is one of the little gems rather than being a long show dragged out season after season so the studios can make the $$$$. It is the complete story in one 12 episode miniseries, about a new undersea creature that is discovered and the scientists who are trying to research it while the 'government' try to keep it a secret. Lake Bell stars as the oceanographer Laura Daughtery who discovers this as yet 'Unidentified Species' If you like your scifi shows this is great as it is a complete story in one set without the need to shell out for numerous seasons. Great plot twists, good science info (for those who like that) and a cast of characters who you recognize from other shows but are not huge names and therefore do not get in the way of the plot.
