Great when new but beware when used.
The Olympus Pearlcorder is a great product. I purchased a new one about 6 months ago for approximately $200.00. I had purchased a new one many years ago and it lasted for many years.
I purchase a refurbished one last month and the recording quality is less than I hoped. It's not the model but the condition of the actual recorder I purchased. It works "okay" but the sound quality of the recording is, as my paralegal describes it, is "tinny". I knew it was used when I purchased if for $39.00 and I have no complaints about the value of it given the low cost.
I'll use it until it dies and then go back to the new one.
