Excellent Value
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought the 1700x on black friday for $127.50. As it also doesn't come with a cooler I picked up a Deepcool Gammamaxx 400 for $17.00. Using the pre included thermal paste that came with the cooler I proceeded to overclock the proc to a mild 3.8 ghz. It stays cool and quiet under load. All in $144.50 for 8 cores and 16 threads running at 3.8. Yes you can push the proc higher but for me the extra .2ghz wasn't worth the extra $40 You would spend on an upgraded cooler.
