Incredible 3D sounds

Just got my Xonar U3, installation was easy (downloaded from Asus page) setup was sightly tricky because the speaker test didn't work too well, but I loaded up Dragon Age and the 3D sound works perfectly using SPDIF over TOSLINK optical cable. Adapter comes in the packet, you just need one of those standard hi-fi optical cables. I can hear the fires crackling in the right places and spooky underground noises. The game is way better with atmospheric 3D sound! My PC only had stereo sound before. Using a Gigabyte BXi7 mini running Windows7 with Logitech Z5500 5.1 speaker setup.

Enhancement for aeropress

High quality filter for aeropress, a little pricey but feels like it'll last for quite a few years. Coffee comes out good too. Slightly difficult to clean as it form fits to the cap, but if this improves the coffee I'm all for it. You'll get used to cleaning it out without grinds going down the sink anyway.

Owned the Porlex v1 for 12 years but acc...

Owned the Porlex v1 for 12 years but accidentally broke the ceramic grinder part while cleaning it, which is not made anymore :'( - it was perfect but somehow the v2 is an improvement. They fixed the main issue with v1, that the handle would come off the spindle while grinding. Same top, top quality item this is definitely a "buy once for life" item. As long as you don't let the ceramic grinder part spring out and bounce across the tile floor. Looks great too, and grinding action is very smooth.
