unexpected treat - worth time
DVDs were new and sealed and excellent condition. This version of Pasternak's novel is different from the Julie Christy Omar Sharif version of the 60's. The original was made for large theaters and the cinematography is outstanding. Visual beauty is prominent. This more recent version was made for a small screen, (TV), so it relies on acting and characters and stage craft. I prefer this later version. Seems to me more intimate and in depth. The extra shipping $ (Canada to US) was worth it.
