Good for short power interruptions.
A good value at the price I paid, but not if you buy it from the normal retailer. Don't expect to run a heater or major appliance with it. It will run a small fan, room light (LED bulb is best), and a small TV for news or weather reports. My primary use will be to run my ham radio in emergency situations and to keep the cell phones going. I already have two batteries from the same brand of lawn equipment as a power source. If you don't have one of these batteries, there are less expensive devices that will do the same job.

More of a collector item than usefull HT.
This is a model 200, not the HTX 202 mentioned in the other review that was a great radio. It is ok, but very low power and uses 2 AA batteries. Depending on age, some of the plastic could develop a sticky coating.
