single stud
if you are a single stud and you can only have a single stud to mount your wall mount to....then this is a perfect mount...
pre drill the wall stud and use a level vertically before marking and final stud attachement
.
if using outdoor(in a temporar area(...you can usually leave your tv stand on the tv for most tv....and remove the tv with the vertical brackets attached in less than 10 seconds....20 if you tightened them down...the wallplate and swivel mechanism will stay on the stud...(the reason I say this is you may not have a covered protected area where you want to watch tv outside)
If it is a perm solution then simply tighten the 2 Philips screws under the rectangleon the underside of each vertical tv mount wall plate and don't install your stand.
