Three female blues/soul legends havin' a ball on this monumental studio project!
Saw these three women at the Long Beach Blues Festival with my father around the time this CD dropped. Only wish they had done more collaboration projects like this gem looking back on that specific moment in time:::sigh:::only female group that could boast this much talent was LaBelle back in the 60s and 70s (Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx, and Sarah Dash). If any of you out there manage to come across any copies of 'Sing It!' in your music search, JUST GET IT!

Excellent live performance from Lila Downs and her band in front of an appreciative French audience
Lila's one of those transformative "once-in-a-generation" types that the current music industry has had an increasingly hard time promoting to the general public on a consistent basis. This is her only official live document of what continues to make her required listening by just about everyone else out there. Lila's vocal performances for the most part are first-rate and her long-standing support unit even more so. Highly recommend this album if you're truly serious about building an essential Lila Downs collection! Too bad she hasn't put out more quality live material since, definitely worth the price of admission to see her working her stage magic in person...
