Not as compelling as I anticipated
This is a classic and well written. Normally I read a book first then watch it on tv and the production dissapoints compared with my imaginings from the book. In this case, the televised version wins hands down because over several series it has the time and scope to expand on the original story. If I hadn’t seen the tv series I think I would have been a bit perplexed by the book. As a result the book was a bit ‘thin’.

Not what I expected
This was much smaller than anticipated. Although the size was clearly given, for some reason both myself and a friend who bought one as well anticipated that as it was advertised for the garden it would be larger. It is very small and in my opinion is more suited for use indoors. Such a shame as we both liked the style.
I didn’t even bother to open the packaging as it was apparent it was pretty small.

Pretty addition to the garden
1 of 1 found this helpful This tree seat looks very nice in the garden and the colour is a sort of mottled dark green which blends in well. I had read the reviews about how difficult it is to put together - it is! The manufacturer advises that two people are needed to do the job. However, I am a senior female and I managed to do it single handed. The problem is that in some places you have to align several holes and several pieces which naturally want to spring out of place whilst you adjust them, hence ideally you need two people (or three!). I overcame this by using duct tape to strap the parts in place whilst I put in the screws. Although it was fiddly, it took me on my own about an hour and a half.
Although it looks very nice it is already starting to rust. I have WD40 the bolts but fear they will be rusted solid before too long.
You cannot make this in two halves so that it is easily moved for mowing as it is in 5 sections, it has to be a permanent circle around the tree.
