Easy to watch, great cast
After reading "Nella Last's War", excerpts of the diaries kept by a Lake District housewife (for the mass observation project) during WWII - and continuing to her death, I very much wanted to see this dvd as the tv adaptation was written by, and starred Victoria Wood as the lead character, Nella.
Living in Australia (region 4 for dvd's) and only being able to find a Region 2 copy, I decided to chance my luck as it was a very good price. Although the dvd would not play in my dvd player, I was very pleased to have no problem playing it on my computer.
Victoria Wood was such a great talent, as a writer, actress and stand up comedian - she is very much missed after her premature death earlier this year.
I heartily recommend this to any of her fans.
