Mortal Kombat Premium Edition. A fine tribute to the past!
Great game! In the early 90s, Mortal Kombat and Street fighter II went head to head in the arcades. The Mortal Kombat series being more on the gory and extremly violent side appeals mostly to teenagers and older gamers who prefer this kind of gruesome entertainment hence the name Mortal Kombat. Parents, use common sense when allowing your kids to play any Mortal Kombat game or else your child may grow up with serious psychological conditions. Mortal Kombat pushed the boundaries for violence in video games, caused an uproar in Congress and forced the video game industry to regulate themselves by creating a rating system which allowed other game developers to push the boundaries even further. Creator of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon and the staff at what used to be "Midway" made a nice tribute to the MK franchise and bid farewell to MK fans of the old MK games to a new Mortal Kombat series on the next generation systems like Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4. Included with MK Armageddon Premium Edition is a limited edition box art signed by Ed Boon and the arcade emulation of "Ultimate Mortal Kombat." Ultimate MK brings back fond memories of the arcade days and the game also has the original cheat codes from the arcade version that made Ultimate MK such a success. Included is a separate disc titled "MK's history of fatalities" which features character biography's and the actors portraying these characters. For some reason, most gamers say this was the worst game in the series to which I disagree but I'm not a MK fanatic either. I play this game to kill time and unlock items which is why I enjoy the MK series. With various game modes like "Konquest Mode" for example, 62 characters to choose from, lots of items to unlock and plenty of moves to learn, this game will keep even the experienced MK fan occupied. Though, the fatalities are disturbing to watch, there's plenty of horrific ways to finish off your opponents in this game from suicides to dismemberments and plenty of other mutilations to keep the most blood-thirsty MK fans satisfied. Being a casual fan of the MK series I got Mortal Kombat Armageddon (Premium Edition) just to have a piece of gaming history. On the other hand, If your a hardcore MK fan then buy the Xbox version of Mortal Kombat Premium Edition to play in 720p HD quality or if your a collector then buy all 3 artwork inserts. Otherwise, this game is just as fun to play on any system.

Marvel fans will love this game. A lot of characters to choose from and a long game to complete. Plenty of unlockables to complete and great graphics.

Konami's final TMNT game. Have a blast from the past, Turtle Power!
You know, for being a kid's game, this is actually a fun and challenging game even for old-fart gamers like myself. I enjoy the many bonuses and upgrades players can apply to their characters and the graphics are very colorful like Konami's other TMNT games. Players can level-up their character's ability's by defeating enemies, acquire Elder scrolls and DVD's through out the game in addition to bonus games for more scrolls and DVD's. The scrolls enhance different parts of your character, for example, some scrolls extend your character's health bar and other scrolls increase weapon damage. Each DVD contains an episode from the Turtle's cartoon series and Konami added a movie player suite for kids to watch all their collected DVD's in any order they want. I purchased this game mainly for the TMNT, Turtles in Time arcade emulation that brings back old memories from the days in the arcades and pizza parlors like Round Table Pizza. Very simple and fun to play for anyone interested in having a Final-Fight style butt-kicken good time. Always listen to master Splinter, take out Shredder's foot soldiers and henchmen, stay alive by eating pizza and team up to fight Shredder as the final boss to save April. A few things I don't like, the Turtles In Time arcade emulation will only let players choose a character per game controller so you need four controllers to play each of the four characters which sucks, I know Konami could've fixed this problem. The old-school maze-like level designs have been used in many older games before but this is a kid's game. I also found it frustrating to navigate through certain levels at times often retracing my steps and getting lost until I found the right place to complete a task or advance to the next level. The enemies are predictable, except for boss characters so not much will surprise gamers here and they regenerate every time players go back to a place they previously finished which can be annoying when your lost because if you die you have to start the level all over again. With a new Turtle's movie in theaters, the video game series might get a much needed revive and become popular once again. However, if Konami is not developing TMNT games then I'm not interested from a vintage-gamer's POV, only Konami could develop the TMNT games the way they did. Unfortunately, people lost interest in the TMNT's a few years back and as a result, Konami sold the license to Ubisoft. Finally, TMNT3:Mutant Nightmare is the last Konami developed TMNT game in a long running video game series originally developed by Konami. With 1 to 4 players, this is a fantastic game for kids and adults alike, a great way for Konami to finish out the series on top.
