A Perfect Farewell.
I bought this album only because I knew it would be Glen's last album. I really wasn't expecting much to tell you the truth. Boy was I surprised when I heard it. I loved each track as I heard them for the first time. For me, that is truly the ultimate test for an album. Many times, a lesser album needs to grow on me. I have to play it more & more to see if I like it. This album gets 5 stars from me right from the first play. It's what I was really hoping for as a final chapter in his recording catalog. I highly recommend this LP even if you were only a casual fan of his.

Great Music, Poor Sound Quality
0 of 1 found this helpful The music on this CD is outstanding, but the sound quality is very poor. I have two Tascam CD recorders with LED recording meters. When I play this CD, the meters or pinned into the red, meaning this CD was recorded FAR TOO loud. All the piano music is distorted and when the music gets loud, it too is distorted. It's such a shame because the songs are great. I suggest you purchase her Christmas CD called "The Christmas Collection" instead of this one. That CD was made by Universal, the company she recorded for the longest. This CD was made by her own production company and it has very poor sound quality.

Outstanding Performace - Poor Sound Quality.
This is an outstanding recording as far as the talent within. Yngwie is a wizard on the strings & can't be beat. Hearing an all instrumental recording from him is far better than any of the stuff he recorded with a vocalist. The only down side of this CD is it has very poor sound quality. You can actually hear tape hiss in the silent sections & the LED meters on my CD recorder actually register 1 db showing the tape hiss. The classical CD he put out after this has superior sound & has more music on it. I recommend that one over this one, but I still want them both in my collection.
