Not impressed

Thought it was a good idea not to have to worry about cords and plugs. So I bought three lots. The control works but the linkable items don't work. there were no manuals that came with it so I googled for the instructions, followed them closely, and it works and then it doesn't. It was very annoying. Where can I find help?
