National Geographic Magazine October 1979 With Map of Medieval England

the maps are wonderful!!

we wanted the removable map with medieval England on it for a report my nephew was doing on Bede. Of course this was an issue that was missing from the Grandparents' physical NatGeo collection!! So it was wonderful to find it on ebay and be able to pick it up. the articles are as interesting to me as in a 'new' issue for 2020, and we're glad to have the map. This was much cheaper than buying a 'frameable' print edition from an art store.

Great idea, unfortunately the one I got was defective in some way.

did not work! I tried it at my house, and a very tech-savvy friend tried it with several devices at his house, as well. The most i could get was color stripes and a 'no signal' notification on the TV screen. I have an old TV and wanted to stream my concerts and church from the computer onto it since it's a bigger screen. Unfortunately i must have gotten a dud converter box. possibly the power cable was too loose to function? I don't know. everything LOOKED fine with it from the outside.

so good to be able to unplug again!

I got this for my 10yo dell laptop. I haven't been able to work unplugged for years now. This seems like it will go the way of the original battery eventually, so i am wondering if there's something off in how the computer charges it that makes it go bad, or if I don't run it effectively to manage it long-term, BUT for now it's awesome to be able to get an hour or so of work completely unplugged!!! $15 basically gave me a whole new computer. Well worth it. I am thrilled.
