Funny, pithy, entertaining.
Les Norton books are always great reading. The language is pretty interesting, but apart from that I will always love them, they show a part of Australian life that really existed when I was a teenager and saw Kings Cross for the first time. His characters are funny and I just wish he was still around to write more of his books.

Nostalgic historic and well acted.
Chariots of Fire is a classic movie with the characters finely drawn, and the story would be based on the true athletes of the time before WW1 came about. I love it because of it's history, nostalgia, and the way it is filmed. The costumes are perfect as well. It isn't violent in the way today's are, but tells a great story.
