US Sunroof Motor Cog Repair Gear For Mercedes Benz W202 W203 W204 W210 W211 W212

W211 E55 pano sunroof repair

Mercedes dealer in Atlanta quoted me $7900.00 to fix the pano sunroof on my 05 E55. Don’t drive car much, sits in warehouse. Had the fuse pulled so no one would accidentally try and open it. Aka wife/step daughter. Finally got around to wanting to repair it. Project #587 haha. The YouTube video’s suggesting to shim it. That was not the fix. Metal teeth on gear get worn down or stripped. Replaced worn out gear with this one, re-installed, greased track, installed fuse. Boom Pano Sunroof works like a million bucks. If your w211 sunroof is not working, pops and makes a bunch of racket and won’t open or barely opens gets stuck. Hopefully you could read this. Purchase this gear. Simply remove panel above rear view mirror, pull the gears out of the motor. Replace small gear, loosen entire motor, will be a tight fit going back in. Might need manual tool from trunk to help move track to get gear to push back in and line up. Tighten motor assemble down. Grease track! And most likely you just fixed your sunroof for chump change!! Thanks Again for this Gear. Fixed all my sunroof problems on my E55.!.!

Connector Issue

Overall I like them. Very Bright. Only issue I had was connector plugs don’t snap and lock in all the way. Had to run zip ties around them to ensure they don’t come unplugged. 2004 Roush F150.
