Does the job!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my first TiVo experience after years of using cable and satellite DVR units. I was not expecting the set-up to be as complicated as it turned-out to be, but, as my unit was purchased used, I believe that made the necessary steps less obvious on connection. Once we re-configured the box to our cable service and placed the IR sensor for the remote in the correct spot, we were in business! The menu is easy enough to learn, and upon testing the online recording options we seem to be communicating fine. I was a little disappointed that with digital cable this model will only tune to "basic" channels when recording on a cable channel. Still, all in all, I'm happy with my purchase. If you have a busy schedule, TiVo is a great way to store the programs you like for viewing on your time! :)
