A great find for a collector of Ms Silko's work.
The short story, The Man to Send Rain Clouds, was written by Leslie Marmon Silko (then Leslie Chapman) in 1967, and was first published in the 1969 last issue of the New Mexico Quarterly magazine. This well crafted story launched her career as the premier native American writer. The 1974 paperback issue was signed by Leslie in the year 1974 when she was living in Ketchikan, Alaska. The paperback also contains other Silko stories as well as early stories by other native American writers.
