great chick movie.
1 of 2 found this helpful I liked it, my wife loved it, she has seen it at least twenty times.
so this is more my wife's review than mine. I plan on trying the anvil
thing someday; for it looks like some good redneck fun! Reese Witherspoon is hot and my wife says the guy is too. (for I would not know that sort of thing) The acting is very good and story is interesting and funny. "That's all I got to say about that".

Great action, not so good plot, good fight scenes.
1 of 1 found this helpful If you like martial arts movies or at least amazing physical feats this is the one for you. If a cohesive, intricate plot line that enriches your soul and touches your inner being is important.... skip it. Tony Jaa is pound for pound the most amazing (acrobatic) martial artist I have seen. My favorite is still Jet Li, but he is supposedly quitting the biz. This movie and Tom Yum Goong (The Protector) are great showcases for Jaa. I hope he makes some big budget films that utilize his formidable skills and have a good plot. If not, I still like watching him inflict pain on the "bad guy" very much. His version of Muy Thai is awesome, I feel sorry for his stunt guys! Most of the time I watch movies for their entertainment value and not their plot. I do have times when a good plot is a must though. I thought the multiple camera angles to show that there aren't props to help the stunt are surprising. Like Jackie Chan, he appears to do all of his own stunts. Unlike Jackie Chan's movies which have Jackie acting silly as he does martial arts this is a revenge movie. I am a big fan of revenge movies and competition type martial arts movies. don't get me wrong I loved crouching chicken hidden monkey, and Hero etc... If need more on the story, check out the trailer online. It is pretty simple, someone steals the villages idol and he kicks all kinds of butt getting it back.
