The very best indeed. The Stranglers prove that they can be Nice AND Sleazy
This is a band that I think has been overlooked as one of the great bands of the punk/new wave era even though they are really not punk or new wave. Punk by association only The Stranglers can go from gritty rock (nice and sleazy-peaches) to fancy harpsichord vignettes(golden brown) and all points in between. They also have some pretty awesome cover tunes worthy of repeated listens(walk on by-96 tears) If you have never listened to anything from the Stranglers I recommend getting Peaches -The Very Best Of The Stranglers for a place to start and I bet you will run out and get all you can from this great band

Great new Indigo Girls CD
1 of 1 found this helpful The purchase was easy and I recieved the new release by the folk rock duo Indigo Girls- Despite our Differences- This new collection of songs by Emily and Amy has to be one of their best to date. A guest vocal by Pink rounds out this perfect mix of relationships, politics and the hazards of drug use. Fans will love it and it may win the girls new listeners by combining folk, rock, blues and overall great music and lyrics. A+
