It'll last for quite a few more years.
Compared to the first E-M1 this is a major improvement, and at an affordable price. It is both more rugged and has easy to navigate functions, is quite rugged and more , strongly built versus its predecessor; one example being a larger distribution of 6 tripod mounting plate screws vs a smaller one for the original E-M1 with five, and a much more robust body overall and many more features.
