Powershot Canon G11 still does the job
Even though Canon has the G12 thru G16 and also the G1X in these Powershot - the G11 is still the best value for money especially if you need the Macro mode. It's a good camera although the later models have a faster video system so if you take lots of videos the later versions would be better.
The G11 and G12 have the same Underwater Housing - so go for one of them for Underwater shots. The main reasons I have the G11 is the lighter weight, the Macro mode and reasonably priced Underwater Housing.
