Hard to beat Surefire 123A batteries
Haven't tried all brands of 123A, but Surefire seem to work best and last longest for me. The cases are kind of a bonus. Good price; I believe it wasn't much less than what SF sells them for, but no cases with the SF box (which was included--empty, the batteries packed in their three cases--).

A good place to start building your own BOB when under $50
For under $50, this seems to be a decent starter kit; I certainly wouldn't recommend it at the $90 full pop from the manufacturer. I like how the backpack is pretty nondescript and could be just any kid's backpack when thrown into your vehicle. It may not be the most robust pack around, but as long as you're not depending on it to carry 20 pounds of stuff for 10 or more miles a day, it should suffice. The included supplies appear to be okay quality as well, but you'll definitely want to add more items to personalize it to your needs. For instance, I foresee a need for more trauma items (broken bones, lacerations) for me personally in my theater of operation and not so much need for chest seals and such that GSWs would demand.

Nikon D3 body
5 of 6 found this helpful This is my second D3 body. Though the seller said it was used, it seemed brand-new except for the number of shutter releases. Box and all items within it included in sale.
For my work (sports photography), the D3 is almost like cheating. The photos it seems to churn out regularly puts my D2X to shame, to say nothing of that gorgeous three-inch monitor. I considered waiting to get a D3X, but I like having the high-ISO/low-noise option as well as the faster firing rate of the D3.
Only problem that's cropped up is a little vignetting when using my 70-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor, plus I don't have the auto-focus completely wired. When trying to track multiple moving subjects on 51-point AF, it got confused and focused more on the background. May have to try the 51-point 3D or something like reading the manual more diligently.
Multi-flash photography is awesome. Can't wait to get an SB-900 for it so I can use my SB-800s as off-camera strobes. But I also need to replace the 12-24mm f/4 Nikkor that I currently run on my D2X with the 17-35mm f/2.8.
