World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Review
1 of 1 found this helpful Wrath of the Lich King is an expansion pack to Blizzards acclaimed "Worlf of Warcraft". This expansion brings forth a progressing storyline, and additional continent with new areas, and various new skills. It is preceded by The Burning Crusade, and followed by Cataclysm. World of Warcraft is an immense world that you will find yoursel fplaying for hours on end, however I found that this game is only fun -with your friends-. Unless you enjoy slaying monsters and doing quests repetitively alone, you won't find this game fun. However, with a playerbase of just over 12 million, I'm sure you can find plenty of friends as fast as I did within just a few hours of playing. There are several major cities full of colorful people, but beware as there are players who will continually assault you with insults claiming that their character is better. We all had to start somewhere, didn't we? World of Warcraft places you in a position to become anything you want, from a Warrior, priest, shaman, to a rogue, druid (shapeshifter), and paladin. Not to mention the various races you can become. This game is so balanced, so simplified without taking away from the elements, that I warn you to not become so addicted to it so that it affects your actual life! It is that addictive. With friends. Don't have any friends that play? Invite them! Blizzard has an invitation service that'll earn you some neat in-game items, inlcuding a rocket mount! Oh, did I mention how gigantic the world is? It is huge, and you'll never truly explore every nook and cranny, because it'll continually be expanded. Most players won't pay attention to the quest dialogues, but if you do you'll see what an immersive storyline blizzard has crafted from their singleplayer games into World of Warcraft. Wrath of the Lich King brings the latest and greatest to the world, and you should be a part of it. Be on the look out for the next update, Cataclysm, that will change the world as you know it. Many maps will be changed, with an entire new skills and talents system update. Even if you're not sure about World of Warcraft, you can try a free 10 day trial on blizzard's website. I was, admittedly, bored as first.. but as soon as I got my buddies in on it we were playing for hours! So, c'mon, grab a friend, and enter the world of.. Warcraft.
